Rights to use resort assets are granted through bookings that qualify under the operator's programs. Houses, meanwhile, are individually owned and rent through whatever channel each owner chooses. Two systems, two logics: the houses distribute through many doors, the amenities through one. Every confusing listing you will ever read here is those two systems overlapping on the same lot, and no amount of persuasive photography changes which system your deposit lands in.

What this means at booking time

First: the burden of proof sits with the listing, not with you. A rental that includes club access can say so in writing, name the covered guests and dates, and describe the on-site verification; ask for exactly that. Second: silence and vagueness are answers. Marketing that gestures at resort living without naming your rights is describing the neighborhood, not your booking. Third: the same house often appears on multiple channels wearing different bundles, so comparing a manager's page against a platform listing of the identical cottage can surface the access difference all by itself. Fourth: price the difference. That is a real vacation, not a consolation prize. The only failure mode is paying club prices for it, and now you never will.
